The international automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA is strengthening its business in the agricultural and construction machinery segment and is building up local production capacities in North and South America for the first time. The focus is on the production of work and auxiliary headlamps as well as customer-specific solutions for off-highway applications. To this end, the company will initially draw on existing capacities of FORVIA HELLA’s existing lighting plant in Guadalajara, Mexico.
“With the docking to existing structures in Guadalajara and a clear industrialization roadmap, we can serve our customers in North, Central and South America faster, more predictably, but also cost-efficiently and even closer to specific needs. The combination of local production and our global network makes the difference – for customer-specific premium solutions as well as for our broad standard portfolio,” says Dr. Fabian Utermöhlen, Vice President Sales & Marketing in the Business Group Lifecycle Solutions.
With the expansion of production capacities, FORVIA HELLA is pursuing the goal of further improving the supply of customers in North, Central and South America and sustainably strengthening its market presence in this core region. From the end of 2027, the plant in Guadalajara will produce entry-level products up to premium products from the FORVIA HELLA portfolio.
