Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the global lighting leader, proudly announces the successful illumination of India’s new Parliament Building in New Delhi, India. This accomplishment was achieved in collaboration with Tata Projects Limited, the project’s primary EPC contractor. Signify illuminated key areas of the recently constructed monumental triangular structure, including The Ashok Stambh, exterior facades, and interiors, with over 1200 Philips luminaires.

The Ashok Stambh, an impressive bronze structure standing 6.5 meters tall, has been illuminated to highlight its architectural beauty and historical significance. The façade lighting design highlights the complex jalis, exterior parapet, symbolic gates, and balconies of the triangular building, with a color palette of 16 million options. Signify has also provided interior lighting solutions designed for HDTV broadcasting to the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Backlighting for panels in both chambers, lighting for the sophisticated courtyard, and general lighting for reception and office areas are all included.

“We are proud to have partnered with Tata Projects Limited to illuminate this iconic and prestigious structure with our innovative lighting solutions. The new dynamic lighting system reflects the grandeur of the new Parliament Building as a beacon of architectural brilliance, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity. The new lighting is also energy efficient and will make these buildings a visual treat for onlookers. Our team’s dedication and commitment to excellence shine brightly in every corner of this magnificent building, as they worked day and night to complete the project in time,” Sumit Joshi, CEO of Signify – South Asia said about the project.
