Sumit Joshi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Signify Innovations India Limited has been appointed as President of Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers’ Association (ELCOMA) on 7th October 2020.
Joshi said: “It is my honor to lead ELCOMA at a time when the industry is going through an unprecedented situation. This pandemic has further strengthened the need for all stakeholders to work together towards accelerating growth for the sector and optimize the opportunities that it presents. I take on this position with a great sense of responsibility and commitment towards our common goals.”
As an active member of ELCOMA, Joshi was instrumental in shaping the association’s ongoing projects and policies, bringing attention towards the most pressing issues of the industry and working with authorities for its welfare. A seasoned industry professional and a dynamic leader, he has extensive experience in leadership positions, managing both large and small business units and teams, establishing global businesses and successfully turning around challenging business units.
